Week 7 - Heart Disease

Recently my friend found he had tendency to have high cholesterol by hereditary factors, so I decided to help you with some tips and performing some activities with him. Weather Event - Homework Week 5




My country, Brazil, is a country with a tropical climate so it's not a common occurrence of catastrophic natural events as well as floods. Strong and long rains are natural phenomena that most impact the Brazil. I remember a few years ago, me, my mom and my sister went out for a walk with our puppy for the first time, she was still a puppy and this would be his first ride. On a Saturday afternoon we went for a park near our house, I remember that my puppy was very excited about the first ride. We walked the entire length of the park and when we arrived at the end of a heavy rain began. We took our little dog on her lap to run from the rain and seek shelter. The rain was very strong and continuous then quickly had formed large puddles. Until we find we water under all our clothes and my puppy got very wet and frightened by the situation. We found shelter in a snack bar in the park and stayed there about 1 hour waiting for the rain to pass. With our big rain delay and my father got worried and called several times to my mother's phone until after a while she meet and we were well informed. When the rain stopped we went home and took a hot bath followed by a hot drink also. My little dog has developed pneumonia due to what happened and had to take some medicine to get well. I remember the rain which affected my family this small way affected my city in a very hard way, some homes in steep terrain collapsed, burying people and causing fatalities. Some people who were in transit at the time were left stranded in their cars and thus some were drowned. This type of event is quite common in my state between the months of December and March because it is when we are in the summer and several rains like these happen. Nowadays, technology is higher and receive notifications of heavy rains and places that can be flooded to thereby prepare ourselves and protect.

This week I read a very interesting article titled "Marriott Hotels Oculus Rift to use 'teleport' travelers'. Living on Desert - Sidewinder Rattlesnake

Sidewinder Rattlesnake are animals that live in Extreme southwestern Utah, southern Nevada, California and south into Mexico. They belong to family Viperidae, the Viper and Pit viper family. This week I read the book "The Hunger Games". This book is a dystopia, which are generally characterized by totalitarianism, authoritarianism and oppressive control of society. The book tells the story of Katniss a teenager who lives in a society divided by districts and annually performs an activity in which each district offers a couple of teenagers as tributes to fight each other for life. In this first book in a series of three, the main character Katniss is sent to the game because in a draw held the winning is her younger sister and she takes her place because her sister would have no chance of winning the game for being too young. Along with Katniss is sent to play Peeta, Katniss classmate, who possessed the ability to camouflage and with Katniss with the ability to hunt and fight for life will cause a revolution in the city.
